Many leaders (people) are experiencing burnout from the constant challenges in this protracted pandemic. COVID-19 has exacerbated the pre-pandemic issue of constant grinding. How can you be your best without rest?
I am not against working hard to put food on the table or to realize goals and dreams. Nevertheless, there are casualties in the process. This perpetual grinding is destructive to your mental/physical health, relationships, and leadership effectiveness. The word grind means to reduce something to particles or powder by crushing it.
In this season I have been grinding. I am in the middle of a job transition while putting the final changes on my inspirational memoir/self-help book: Greatness Awaits You: 23 Ways to Unlock the Greatness Within (coming Feb 2022).
Last fall I wrote “Pause the Grind” where I talked about the importance of taking time to pause, reflect and live. Given all that is going on, I wrote this post as a reminder to myself and others to take a breath and live!
Pause the grind!
Make today great!
Remember, Greatness Awaits You!

Amen Carlos!
Many of us don’t know how to stop the grind.
Relief comes a lot through belief
Still gotta play somehow everyday
Thanks Ron! I agree! It is a process, but we have to find a way to live!
