Help Wanted… Looking for Leaders!

According to Oxford Economics, 1.7 million jobs have been lost in the world due to automation since 2000. The US alone has lost 260,000 jobs. We live in a world where things are increasingly becoming more automated and outsourced and that is not slowing anytime soon. Nevertheless, there are few things that cannot be replaced by automation: real leaders and leadership. People who create shared visions that inspire people to move from good to great. People who influence others to become more and do more than they thought they were capable of. People who encourage the hearts of their people and inspire them to work toward a better tomorrow. Through their leadership, what seemed impossible becomes reality!

This is the type of leader I aspire to be. I aim to inspire, empower, and develop others to discover the greatness that awaits them. I strive to be a leader who not only steers a ship, but also charts a course to execute a strategy to realize the vision for the future.

Given these uncertain times we need the real leaders to stand up. Leaders who are not looking to have power over others and to get their ego’s stroked, but people who are committed to the greater good of humanity and willing to empower and serve others. We need leaders who do not shout commands and demand perfection but ask questions and provide direction. What can be replaced are positional leaders who do not know how to inspire and motivate their people-people only follow them because of their titles.
