One of my pet peeves is when people say, “I am just a janitor. “or “I am just an administrative assistant.” or “just anything.”
My response is, “Let’s see how things go for the people you work for if you were not doing your job!” Too often we compare ourselves to others and diminish the value that we bring to the table or sometimes people may treat you as though what you do or who you are has no value.
I am here to remind you that you are never “just this or that!” You have value that can make an impact in the right role or position! You just need to take inventory of that value.
Instead of thinking or saying, “I am just” Think and articulate the value you bring to the table. Never let others diminish your value and more importantly never diminish your own value. Change the narrative from “the just and only mentality” to “Here is the value I bring to the table!”
We all have value and when you know your value, there is no limit to what you can accomplish! “Your value does not decrease based on someone’s inability to see your worth!”-Zig Ziglar

This absolutely a great message and so very true. My husband and I discuss this often about value, what it is for you and I always catch people and tell them to stop saying I am just, it definitely diminishes your self worth. Carlos continue reaching and becoming your best self. I am so proud of you bro.
