Last week I had a day where so many good things happened that it made me nervous. The nonprofit I work for competed for and won some amazing funding opportunities and I personally had some good fortune as well!
The next morning, I was still excited until I learned that the Coronavirus pandemic would force me to reschedule a major fundraising event and would impact my middle son. His final NCAA tournament game was cancelled ending prematurely his college basketball career.
While we are very thankful that we have our health and life, these things that we cannot control can be discouraging.
The longer I live the more I realize the importance of faith in times of uncertainty. We must take precautions to stay safe during these times, but also realize that we don’t have as much control as we think in life. We must learn to live and appreciate each day and moment. The only control we have is how we respond to these uncertainties.
Despite any uncertainty, stay calm, be safe and keep the faith!
