You Matter!

My wife and I were leaving the airport in San Diego and proceeded to get the shuttle. Before boarding, my wife and I said hello to a worker standing at the door. She responded, “Thanks for acknowledging me!’ Next, she expressed frustration that most entered the shuttle without acknowledging her existence. I responded, “You Matter!”

Many face situations where people fail to acknowledge their humanity. This is especially true for minority groups. These situations are dehumanizing because people don’t want to feel invisible!

No matter your social status, make sure that you acknowledged people’s humanity! A true measure of greatness is valuing everyone despite their race, gender, sexual orientation, or socioeconomic status. And for those who fail to recognize your humanity…shame on them…. because You Matter!
